When dieting... especially in the beginning, it's typical to have fits of hunger. A great snack to help you achieve that "full" feeling with little caloric/carb cost is broccoli!
A cup of broccoli is on average about 30 calories, and 4 carbs. One or 2 cups of broccoli, and even I'm stuffed!
It's also convenient! A cup of frozen broccoli can microwave in 4 to 5 minutes! So you can bring it to work as a snack, keep it in a Tupperware container, or make it with one of your meals.
I personally sprinkle a little garlic powder over it. I'll eat anywhere from 2 to 3 cups of broccoli a day.
So the next time you're feeling hungry, but you don't want to break diet... consider having a cup of broccoli. You'll feel better for it, both mentally and physically!
